Microbiology and Immunology (BIO 140)

A study of microorganisms and their relationship to infectious disease in humans. The biology of microorganisms; infection and pathogenesis; resistance and immunity. For Allied Health specialties and Science majors. (Laboratory/lecture format). This course is subject to a course fee.

Prerequisites

The following courses must be taken prior to this course
BIO 121 - General Biology I or BIO 151 - Principles of Biology I with a minimum grade of C within 5 years, or a passing score on the MCCC Biology Placement Test.
High School Chemistry, CHE 121 - General Chemistry - Inorganic, CHE 131 - Chemistry for Technology I, or CHE 151 - Principles of Chemistry I with a minimum grade of C within 5 years
